At TIME Magazine, he was the Los Angeles Bureau Chief and East Asia Correspondent, covering significant events and establishing bureaus in Kabul and Baghdad. As a foreign correspondent for ABC News from 2006 to 2009, he covered the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America, including the trial and execution of Saddam Hussein.
